The National Solidarity Movement of Afghanistan (NSMA) is a political and social movement. It is organized and respected and supports democracy, tribal councils and the establishment of cultural centers. The movement struggles to contribute in its efforts to eliminate the present crisis while safeguarding independence and territorial integrity. NSMA works to ensure national unity, social justice, development, and progress in the country towards prosperity.

The National Solidarity Movement plays an active role in society as an independent organization. Compliance with Islamic principals, respect for national culture and traditions, and observance of human rights including U.N. and other international conventions are among the objectives of the movement.

Taking into account the present critical circumstances and the geo-political location of the country which has always been used as a gateway by world powers, the movement is determined to ensure that all Afghans, men and women alike, take part in the future political set up, state leadership and elections for the formation of a national government based on democracy. This is the only substitute for dictatorships and imposed puppet regimes. Only a government elected by the people can guarantee peace, stability, and national unity and safeguard national interests.

NSMA believes that the representatives of the people should make their way to the parliament only through free elections. The state leadership, according to law, must be elected by the people of Afghanistan for a period through secret ballots.

It is the legitimate right of the people to participate in government and the Movement strongly defends this natural and legal right of the people and the promotion of democracy in the country.
